Whenever Saratoga High athletic director Bob Stulmaker looks at the proposals for improved indoor and outdoor athletic facilities at the school campus and at Maple Avenue School, he has his fingers crossed in hopes that Saratoga Springs district voters will look upon the plans as favorably as he does.
Stulmaker, the Blue Streaks' AD since July 1, 1996 (after serving as interim athletic director when Ray Waldron retired on Dec. 1, 1995), believes the current athletic facilities at the school campus are antiquated and have resulted in overcrowded conditions for the students.
He thinks the students need and deserve new, better facilities, and he hopes voters will agree with him when the school board referendum comes up on Tuesday, June 13. Costs for the project haven't yet been finalized, but will be concluded …
