Man charged in incident at Elkview bank

A man who allegedly forced his way into an Elkview bank aftersmashing a window with a large rock identified himself to policeafter he answered the bank's telephone, State Police said. LonnieEdward Brown, 53, of Charleston was arrested after the 5:55 p.m.incident Thursday at Poca Valley Bank, said Sgt. Michael Corsaro,spokesman for the State Police.

Brown allegedly attempted to enter the bank, but an employee toldhim it was closing, Corsaro said.

"Apparently, he didn't like that answer," Corsaro said.
